Utilities

We have been waiting on the house to dry out the last couple of weeks.  It's a slow going process. The propane heater we bought ended up being a money pit.  The tank only lasted about 24 hours, so it wasn't economical to keep driving way out there to fill it up every day.  We put a oil heater in the house and an electrical heater and fan.  So those are slowly drying it out.  Micah from Adair came out there today and tested the wood, most areas are under 20% moisture, we need to get 18% or below for them to do insulation and drywall.  We are getting close!  The garage door was also delivered and installed!  We are also waiting for the framers to come back out and fix the entryway.  Some one made a mistake and put the window that's next to the front door too far to the left, making the trim on the front look weird, plus there's some mold in above the window inside the house.  So that will all be ripped out and replaced.  There's some siding in the front that still needs to be completed as well.
The excavator was out there today trenching for the electric, phone, water and sewer.  The electrical and sewer inspector showed up too and passed both trenches.
In the mean time Kevin spent some time going around the interior of the house and caulking the floor boards that touch the exterior walls.  Just so that we have an extra barrier for bugs and heating.  He also started putting up insulation in the upstairs interior walls, since Adair doesn't do that.  We want the bedrooms to be well insulated.
We also found two beautiful granite slabs for the countertops.  We decided not to go with black afterall but decided on a white/grey with garnet specks.  Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of it.

 Woohoo garage door!
The cut for where the utilities will be trenched.
Sewer line, the water line will also go right along this ditch as well.
Sewer hooked up to the house.
 Looking at the front yard.
The ditch for the phone, data, cable and electrical conduit.
The 'electrical ditch' being covered up after it was inspected.
Looking at the sewer pipe from the driveway.

Playing soccer in the living room!
