Coming together now...

Here's a little peek at what has been going on this week.  The finish guy has been at the house everyday working on the cupboards, subflooring, trim and doors. The flooring guys will be out there next to install the carpet, vinyl and wood.  We have also begun getting the driveway pour scheduled.  We have some great ideas for the front entry and back patio.

Our finish truck was unloaded. Here's the trim, closet shelving, carpet pad and carpet.

Here's the new tile backsplash I found and fell in love with! Along with a sample of our granite counters.  The granite guys are coming tomorrow to take the measurements for it.

Our daughter's room seemed to need a little something more, so I stenciled butterflies and flowers onto her wall, they will match her duvet cover. :)

We're FINISHED painting the interior!!!

Hallelujah! We spent one week and a day painting all day to get the entire house finished on time!  My dad came and sprayed the primer throughout the house and sprayed the white on the ceilings and closets.  Then Kevin and I went in and painted. At first I was cutting in with a paintbrush and I must say I was pretty awesome at it.  Then Kevin got a little tool called the Accubrush.  It's AMAZING! It does all the work for you with cutting in.  I recommend it if you want nice clean lines, look on Amazon, that's where we ordered ours from, you can also watch videos about it on youtube.  We finally found the perfect grey for our downstairs.  The problem with grey is that when you get it on the wall it can look blueish or even purplish.  So, I recommend getting samples and trying them out first. We ended up getting four samples and finally found 'the one'.  We went with Behr paint for the interior. I will list the colors under the pictures.
The finish truck has arrived and will be unloaded TOMORROW! We are in the home stretch people! We are so excited to finally move into our dream home.  The first to be installed are the cupboards I believe. I will try to get out there to take pictures any chance I get.  On to the pics...

Painting sneak peek.

The mudding and texture ended up being a week late. Tom our mud guy was able to bust it out all in a few days and got it done yesterday afternoon, so that we could start painting today!  Right now we're spraying the primer and then we will spray the white areas (office, spare room, closets, bathrooms and ceilings).  Tomorrow we will be able to start painting the room colors.  We went with a light grey for the main house areas and master bedroom, a green-blue for the laundry room, pale pink for our youngest daughter's room, and pale yellow with a bright pink accent wall for our eldest daughter's room.  We also finally decided on the exterior paint colors for the house, also grey.  I forgot to get any pictures of the colors though.  Here's what's happening so far today:

Drywall!

The house was finally dry enough to put up the exterior insulation.  Today the drywall was finished in the house, then the mudding will begin next week. We should be painting the interior by next weekend!  I sent Kevin to get paint samples mixed for the different rooms, I am eager to get them on the walls and see how they look.
