Utilities pt 2

We're STILL waiting for the house to dry out. This nice warm spring weather should help with the drying out.  But in the meantime we have been busy doing backfill, utility trenching, french drain installation and some interior wall insulation.  The rain gutters were just put up last week.  The front door area was torn out and is waiting to be rebuilt sometime this week.
Clayton our excavator's son was hard at work the last couple of weeks, doing all of our backfill, french drains (which they did at an excellent price), and utility trenching.  He did a great job helping us figure out the landscaping with the slope we have.  Kevin has also been working on putting in our water line, he will be out tomorrow to finish it up so it can be inspected by the city.
We finally made a decision on the granite for the kitchen and downstairs half bath.  We went with Granite Mafia in Medford and Becky the owner gave us a fantastic deal on gorgeous 'Blue Pearl' granite!  Kevin and I are so excited to see it installed! I would definitely recommend going to her if you want granite!
The utilities at the street.
The trench for the water line.

Clayton doing the backfill in the backyard.
The side yard now has a slight slope to the upper flat level.

The view from the back yard.
The french drain trench. The pipes tie into the gutter drains.
Here's the insulation I did in the laundry room, it's not stapled yet so that's why it looks so wrinkly.
Insulation in the master bedroom, the left side hasn't been stapled yet.
 The front door torn out.
The master bathroom side window was broken. Adair was already on top of it and it will be replaced.

The Blue Pearl granite we ordered! :)
