Just an update.

Nothing more has really happened on the house. The siders are still trying to finish the front porch. They were sick this week so the job has been a little delayed. The excavator Frank will be there on Monday morning to start the back fill and trenching our utilities down the driveway from the street. We are also going to be renting heaters next week to dry out the interior of the house. So, there may not be any posts on here until that whole process is done and the sheet rocking has begun.
My major job right now is picking out our paint colors. It's much harder than I thought it would be. But so far we have decided on a light grey for all of the downstairs, stairway and upstairs hall. The girls rooms will be different shades of pink. I still haven't decided on the master bedroom though.
Yesterday we went to Home Depot and we found a very nice tile back splash for our kitchen, I bought one square foot so I could bring it to the house today and it looked great. It has some stainless steel pieces in it that will go well with our appliances. We have also decided that we are going to get granite counter tops. We are probably going to go with some kind of black. The kind I like so far is called Galaxy.

 The backsplash. :)
I love the way the siding on the front of the house looks! It will be awesome when it's painted. And no, the house is not crooked, the easement is that I was standing on.
Still a little left to finish the porch.

Siding, electrical, and plumbing.

Kevin and I headed out to the house today to pick up a couple of truckloads of wood to take to Biomass. We also swept the house. There was a lot of debris from the electrician, wire was everywhere.  We also have a pile of garbage that still needs to be taken to the dump. Mostly it's just little pieces of siding, plastic wrappers and techshield scraps.
The electrician, plumber, siders, and heating and air guys have all been hard at work on the house.  The siding is almost done, all they have is the front of the house to finish and the porch.  As far as I can tell the plumbing is done until the utilities are connected.  The electrical looks almost done, there are no receptacles yet though.  He also put in an electrical panel in the garage.
Next up is drying out the house.  Chris from Adair said he is going to the house next week to test the moisture content in the wood.  We will most likely have to rent heaters to dry out the house.  We also are waiting for a call back from our excavator so that we can schedule him to come do the back fill and trench our utilities down the easement.  He is going to have to cut the asphalt and bring them across the easement to the other side.  It's going to be a hassle, and I will be happy when it's all done with!
On with the good stuff, here are pictures from today. :)
They are almost done with the front!

House wrapped, windows, doors, roof, oh my!

A lot has happened at the house in the last few days.  We stopped by today and saw that most of the windows have been set and the rest will be finished today. The siders are out there working on the windows, trim and siding today. We ended up buying extra window trim on our own to finish the trim around the windows on the sides and back of the house.  We bought it from Parr lumber in Medford, where Adair buys all the lumber for the houses they build.  Mel at Parr really helped us out by getting our trim delivered the same day we ordered it! Thanks!!  The plumbers were also out there today cutting pipes and drilling holes for pipes to go through.  The heating and air conditioning guys were there as well, they installed the HVAC and the vents and such were there ready to be installed. As we drove away a roofing truck was driving up with the roofers. So, hopefully the shingles will be laid today as well.  The weather is perfect right now, hopefully the house will be sided and roofed before the rains start again. :)

 Roof!
